IFEX ELF Tick Size Reduced to 5 Cents
IFEX has reduced the minimum size of price movement of its US Tropical Wind Event Linked Futures on the Chicago Climate Futures Exchange (CCFE).
Tick Size Reduction
IFEX has reduced the minimum price movement of its US tropical Wind Event Linked Futures from 20 to 5 cents. The change was applied by the Chicago Climate Futures Exchange which supplies the trading platform for the IFEX contracts. The minimum price movement, or tick size, is 0.05% of the $10,000 value of each contract .
Rationale for Tick Size Reduction
The reduction in tick size to 5 cents is designed to improve the precision of trading and to increase liquidity. The change will encourage trading on the price anomalies in addition to position taking.
